Tasmania records sharp rise in COVID cases with 702 new local infections
  • 2 years ago
Tasmania has recorded a sharp rise in COVID infections, with 702 detected in the latest reporting period. This brings the total number of active cases to over 2,200. A number of aged care homes and child care centres across the state are now on alert for new cases. There is also a concern that a recent Launceston musical festival, with attendance of over 10,000, could be the source for a number of future cases.
