The Uttar Pradesh Police on Monday submitted a 5,000-page charge sheet in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. The police named Minister of State for Home Ajay Misra Teni’s son Ashish Misra as the prime accused in the case. Eight people were killed on October 3 after violence erupted during a farmers' protest, claiming the lives of farmers and BJP workers ahead of a visit to Lakhimpur by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya.
