Delhi temples close after enforcement of ‘yellow alert’

After the ‘yellow alert’ of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) was enforced in Delhi, the temples in Delhi were closed on December 30.

“Malls, bars, restaurants are still operational in the city. We request the Delhi government to open temples with Covid-19 guidelines,” said Kalkaji Temple priest. As many as 923 Covid cases were reported on December 29. Delhi government had sounded a ‘yellow’ alert on December 28 to curb rising cases.
