Due to heavy snowfall in the hilly areas and light rain in the plains, the weather pattern has changed and the cold has increased further. While the harsh form of winter continues in North India, according to the Indian Meteorological Department, the weather pattern is going to deteriorate rapidly within the next two days from today and on December 31, Delhi, Punjab, North Rajasthan, Haryana and Chandigarh. Stronger-than-normal cold wave conditions are expected in many areas.

पहाड़ी इलाकों में हुई भारी बर्फबारी और मैदानों में हुई हल्की बारिश से मौसम का मिजाज बदल गया है और ठंड और ज्यादा बढ़ गई है. वंही उत्तर भारत में सर्दी का रौद्र रूप तेजी से जारी है तो वहीं भारतीय मौसम विभाग के मुताबिक आज से लेकर अगले दो दिनों के अंदर मौसम का मिजाज तेजी से बिगड़ने वाला है और 31 दिसंबर को दिल्ली, पंजाब, उत्तरी राजस्थान, हरियाणा और चंडीगढ़ के कई इलाकों में सामान्य से तेज शीतलहरी चलने की आशंका है।
