India may witness an unexpected surge in Covid-19 cases by January-end, warned Hyderabad Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Clinical Director (Critical Care Department), Dr Sambit Sahu, on December 24.

Speaking to ANI, Dr Sahu said, “We expect a surge in Covid numbers by January end because we are no different from the world. We will face what the world is facing. Hopefully, we will not have number of critically ill patients this time that we had earlier.”
