On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Women-centric initiatives in Prayagraj ahead of the upcoming UP elections. The program was held as per PM Modi's vision to empower women, especially at the grassroots level. The Centre transferred an amount of Rs 1000 crore in the bank account of Self Help Groups (SHGs), benefitting around 16 lakh women members. In his address, PM Modi stated that Prayagraj has been the land of the confluence of Ganga-Yamuna-Saraswati, the symbol of our mother power for thousands of years. Today this pilgrimage city is also witnessing such a wonderful confluence of women and power. The whole country is watching the work done for the development of UP, for the empowerment of women.
