North India is facing severe cold due to heavy snowfall in the mountains. Due to the icy winds, the temperature has fallen to zero or below zero. There are cold waves in Delhi. The minimum temperature has dropped to around five degrees in Delhi. The Yamuna has started freezing in Yamunotri. In Bageshwar, the fruits and vegetable plantation has been ruined due to frost. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Delhi.
