Voting began in all 144 wards of Kolkata Municipal Corporation at 7 am today amid tight security arrangements and strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines. State Election Commission Secretary Nilanjan Shandilya said that all necessary steps have been taken to ensure free and fair elections. He said that polling is going on at 4959 polling stations and it will continue till 5 pm.

कोलकाता नगर निगम के सभी 144 वार्ड में आज सुबह सात बजे कड़ी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था और कोविड-19 दिशा निर्देशों के सख्ती से पालन के बीच मतदान शुरू हुआ. राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग के सचिव नीलांजन शांडिल्य ने कहा कि स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष चुनाव सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सभी आवश्यक कदम उठाए गए हैं. उन्होंने कहा कि 4959 मतदान केंद्रों पर मतदान हो रहा है और ये शाम पांच बजे तक चलेगा
