Companies could soon be fined up to RM1m for violating Covid-19 SOPs - Khairy

Companies, factories and government agencies violating the standard operating procedures (SOP) set to control the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak can be compounded up to RM1 million following amendments to the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1998 (Act 342), Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said.

He said the increase in the compound was among the amendments that would be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday.
