Thousands Flee Deadly Mount Semeru Eruption

On Saturday, December 4, 2021, a massive volcanic eruption destroyed properties and killed 14 people.
The eruption of Mount Semeru has forced 1300 residents to take refuge. 56 people suffered mild to severe burns, and 9 people were missing.
