On December 3, singer Sidhu Moosewala joined the Congress party. This comes ahead of elections in Punjab which have been scheduled for early next year. Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and state Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu welcomed Moosewala. The 28-year-old Punjabi rapper is likely to contest the polls from his hometown, Mansa. Charanjit Channi tweeted, “I am sure he will serve people to the best of his ability.” Navjot Singh Sidhu tweeted, “Welcome to the fold.” After joining the party, Sidhu told ANI, “One of the reasons to join Congress is to raise the voice of Punjabis.” Watch the video to know more.
