Environmentalists And Wildlife Conservationists In Tana River County Have Strongly Opposed The Government's Plan To Take Over Land In The Kipini Area, Allegedly On Behalf Of The Kenya Defence Forces. The Stakeholders Said KDF Take Over Would Destroy The Wildlife Habitat Of The Kipini Reserve, Which Would Lead To Hostility Between Wildlife And Humans Given That The Wildlife Would Lose Its Habitat. This Was Revealed At A Meeting Organized By The National Land Commission, NLC, And Citizens At The Chief's Office In Kipini, A Session Aimed At Soliciting Views From The Public On The Government's Plan To Seize 40,000 Acres Of Land. In Addition, The Residents Fear That They May Lose Their Land If The Plan Succeeds, Leading To Nightmares.
