Vaccine manufactures indicate existing vaccines may be ineffective against Omicron variant

As concerns over the new Omicron variant grow, vaccine manufacturing companies are working on new jabs to combat this new strain. But the chief executive of Moderna this week has warned existing vaccines may be ineffective against Omicron and that it could take months before pharmaceuticals could manufacture variant specific jabs.
