As per a survey published on December 1, Tel Aviv is the world's most expensive city to live in. This comes as soaring inflation has pushed up living costs globally. Tel Aviv, the Israel city, climbed five places to reach the top position. This is the first time that the city has secured the first place in the authoritative ranking compiled by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). The Worldwide Cost of Living Index is compiled by comparing prices in US dollars for goods and services in 173 cities, reported AFP. Paris and Singapore secured the second position. Zurich and Hong Kong followed. New York secured the sixth position and Geneva seventh. Copenhagen secured the eighth place, Los Angeles took the ninth place and Osaka, Japan secured the 10th place. The survey put Paris, Zurich and Hong Kong in joint first place last year. Watch the video to know more.
