Lung cancer cases have been seen increasing rapidly in the last few years due to the increasing risk of air pollution coupled with lifestyle and dietary disturbances. Lung cancer can be a life-threatening condition that people need to be very careful about. In this condition, there is abnormal growth of cancer cells in or around the lungs which can lead to tumours. Although the risk of lung cancer is higher in older people, although due to factors such as smoking, secondhand smoking, air pollution and lifestyle disturbances, this problem is seen increasing in younger people as well.

जीवनशैली और आहार में गड़बड़ी के साथ वायु प्रदूषण के बढ़ते खतरे के कारण पिछले कुछ वर्षों में फेफड़ों के कैंसर के मामले काफी तेजी से बढ़ते हुए देखे गए हैं। फेफड़ों के कैंसर की स्थिति जानलेवा हो सकती है जिसके बारे में लोगों को विशेष सावधान रहने की आवश्यकता होती है। इस स्थिति में फेफड़ों या उसके आसपास कैंसर कोशिकाओं की असामान्य वृद्धि होने लगती है जो ट्यूमर का कारण बन सकती है। वैसे तो फेफड़े के कैंसर का ज्यादा खतरा उम्रदराज लोगों में अधिक होता है, हालांकि धूम्रपान, सेकेंड हैंड धूम्रपान, वायु प्रदूषण और जीवनशैली के गड़बड़ी जैसे कारकों के चलते कम उम्र के लोगों में भी इस समस्या को बढ़ते हुए देखा जा रहा है।
