கோவை மாவட்டத்தை ஒட்டியுள்ள மேற்குத் தொடர்ச்சி மலை வனப் பகுதியில் நூற்றுக்கணக்கான யானைகள் வசித்து வருகின்றன. அதுவும் கேரளா எல்லைக்கு அருகில் அமைந்துள்ள மதுக்கரை, வளையாறு வனப்பகுதி அதிக யானைகள் வசிக்கும் இருப்பிடமாக உள்ளது.

Three elephants were passed away when they were hit by a train near Coimbatore. It is hoped that appropriate action will be taken to end the deaths of elephants
