On the first day of the first Test match between India vs New Zealand being played in Kanpur city, India put 82 runs on the board for the loss of 1 wicket after the end of the first session. In this session, India had a well-maintained innings after losing the wicket of Mayank Agarwal, the biggest contribution of which was Shubman Gill, who scored 52 runs at the end of the first session.
