Govt MP crosses floor to support anti-corruption debate

Earlier today, the federal government lost not one, but two votes in the House of Representatives over the issue of a federal anti-corruption. Fed up with the delays, the independent member for Indi, Helen Haines, tried to suspend business in the house to debate her private members' bill. She won the vote, backed by every crossbencher and Bridget Archer, a government MP who crossed the floor.
