Group Captain Abhinandan awarded with 'Vir Chakra'

Abhinandan Varthaman, who shot down Pakistan's F-16 fighter plane the day after the Balakot airstrike, was awarded the 'Vir Chakra' today. President Ram Nath Kovind honored him with this award. Abhinandan was the Wing Commander in the Air Force during the Balakot airstrike and shot down an F-16 of Pakistan. On 14 February 2019, Pakistan's terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed carried out an attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama. 40 Indian soldiers were martyred in this attack. Watch this episode.
