Campaigners oppose cuts of stroke services in Kent

Campaigners were waiting today to hear whether or not stroke services will be cut by half in Kent.

The Joint Committee of Clinical Commissioning Groups made an unanimous final decision on how to restructure vital facilities.

They finally decided that Darent Valley, Maidstone Hospital and William Harvey Hospital will house new 24/7 acute stroke services as part of a £40 million shake up.
