As the school year gets under way for many pupils in Kent, campaigners have slammed plans to introduce a new primary school test.
The reception assessment has been put forward for four and five-year-olds with many arguing it is a waste of money.
About half of all primary schools will begin to trial the 20-minute test this week, before a full rollout across the country next year.
