Delhi: Schools Shut Due To Pollution, What Activities Are Allowed, What's Not In The National Capital

Delhi has been facing severe air pollution for the past few days. In view of the growing concerns due to severe air pollution, the Arvind Kejriwal led government ordered that physical classes will not be held in schools from November 15 for a week. This comes after the Supreme Court of India called for emergency solutions for the rising pollution. The government also decided to switch to work from home for 100 per cent of the workforce from November 15. Kejriwal also said that private offices will be advised to go for work from home option as much as possible. The Kejriwal government also decided that no construction activity will be allowed between November 14 and 17. Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai said his government will submit a lockdown proposal to the Supreme Court on November 15 to reduce pollution further. The Haryana government said the order for closure of schools, restriction on construction activities, advice to govt and private offices for adopting work from home mode will be applicable in four districts around NCT Delhi, Gurugram, Sonipat, Faridabad & Jhajjar.
