The Saitama Inu altcoin is picking up steam from Thursday into Friday as it gains in tandem with other meme coins. Saitama is a community-driven ERC-20 token that was launched this past May. The creators of the coin took inspiration from a legend of a ghost dog that roams the mountainous Saitama region of Southern Japan on Honshu Island. As news of meme coins creeps into the minds of investors, there are several alternatives that may seem enticing to crypto enthusiasts. As a result, SAITAMA rose 39.4% in a 24-hour period after jumping 23.8% in the preceding week. Additionally, SAITAMA has gained 38.7% against Bitcoin and 35.7% against Ethereum in the past 24 hours. Even so, SAITAMA is down 84.7% after reaching its all-time high in September.
