Bhopal hospital where 4 infants died did not have safety NOC

The Bhopal Hamidia hospital, in which four infants died after a fire broke out in the ICU late Monday, had not been granted a fire NoC for the past 15 years. The Kamala Nehru Hospital had not received the crucial fire safety clearance from the Bhopal Municipal Corporation. Several notices have been issued to the Kamla Nehru administration on fire NoC, but nothing happened. Mock drills were organized too along with the training, but the hospital did not apply for the NOC. The municipal records show the hospital never applied for the same in its 30 years of existence.
