Yamuna River in Delhi Covered In Toxic Foam As Chhath Puja Worshipers Take A Dip

During the Chhath puja festival, devotees were seen taking a dip in the Yamuna in Delhi near Kalindi Kunj even as white, toxic foam covered the river. Pictures and videos of devotees taking a dip in the Yamuna river, covered with alarming toxic foam have gone viral on social media. In the visuals, devotees can be seen praying in the water covered with foam. The harmful foam was caused due to increased ammonia levels and high phosphate content. Meanwhile, Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had tweeted that the Kejriwal government is conducting the puja in a grand manner by making 800 Chhath Ghats. Watch the video to know more.
