Prime Minister Scott Morrison defends his U-turn on electric vehicles

Scott Morrison is defending his U-turn on electric vehicles as he unveils a multi-million-dollar strategy to increase uptake of battery-powered cars. The plan involves partnering with the private sector to build more than 50 thousand charging stations and boosting the government's electric vehicle fleet, but it contains nothing to address the biggest problem of affordability.
