On November 7, Nawab Malik, Maharashtra minister and NCP leader, said 23-year-old Aryan Khan was kidnapped for ransom. Malik also accused Sameer Wankhede, Narcotics Control Bureau's Mumbai Zonal director of being part of the kidnapping plan. The NCP leader said the kidnapping plan was hatched by BJP leader Mohit Kamboj. Nawab Malik said there was a conspiracy to lure people like Aryan Khan onboard the cruise and frame them in the drugs case. Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested by the NCB on October 3.
