Know why Shankaracharya statue in Kedarnath is special

On Friday, PM Narendra Modi unveiled a 12-foot statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya at the seer's rebuilt samadhi in Kedarnath. The statue is built by Mysore sculpture and weighs around 35 tons. The prime minister sat at the foot of the statue for a while after unveiling it. Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of a slew of reconstruction projects worth over Rs 400 crore at Kedarpuri. Watch the video to know more.
