Hammond: UK's depleted gold reserves could be replenished with 'digital assets'

Former UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond responds to Yahoo Finance UK about the possibility that Britain's depleted gold reserves could be replenished with 'digital assets'. The Tory peer does not think the UK public is ready for the Bank of England to begin accumulating current digital assets, such as Bitcoin. However, he does forecast that "when we ultimately digitise conventional assets, this is the form in which these things will be held at some point in the future”.
