CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES - JUNE, 2021: CHIARA ROSE DESANTIS is a 23-year-old single girl living in Los Angeles who first discovered she was losing her hair at 10 years old. A year later, Chiara was diagnosed with alopecia. She told Truly: “When I first started losing my hair, it was very traumatic. I had no idea what was going on and alopecia is a little bit more known now but, you know, 10 years ago, it was almost non-existent.” Dating wasn’t the easiest for Chiara who was teased by boys at school, but she has since found the confidence to go on dating apps. “Dating with alopecia is definitely different.
