Diwali is here and ahead of the festival of lights and firecrackers, states and union territories have issued fresh guidelines. The guidelines as directed by the Supreme Court pertain to the manufacture, sale and burning of firecrackers. The top court of the country has banned bursting of firecrackers saying it causes pollution. However, the apex court clarified that there is no blanket ban.
