Covid-19 norms went for a toss on Sunday as crowds thronged markets across India ahead of Diwali. Despite experts and government advising people not to become complacent during the festival season, the warning has fallen on deaf ears. In most places across several states, people are seen not wearing masks or are placing the masks under their nose or chin and violating social distancing rules by gathering at crowded places.
