Several top officials of White House and US lawmakers celebrated Diwali with Indian diaspora at Capitol Hill. They also chanted ‘Om Jai Jagdish’ hymn during the celebration. “There has been a lot of darkness in last 1.5 years. To be able to celebrate and talk about meaning of Diwali, it's incredibly important,” said Vice Admiral Surgeon General Vivek Murthy.

व्हाइट हाउस (White House) के कई शीर्ष अधिकारियों और अमेरिकी सांसदों ने कैपिटल हिल (Capitol Hill) में भारतीय प्रवासियों के साथ दिवाली (अगैोतग 2021) मनाई। उन्होंने उत्सव के दौरान 'ओम जय जगदीश' आरती भी गाई। इस दौरान सांसदों ने अमेरिका के विकास में भारतवंशी अमेरिकियों के योगदान की प्रशंसा की और कोविड-19 के बाद की दुनिया में दिवाली के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला.
