Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra on Wednesday said that whenever opposition party members disagree with the ruling party on the issues of national interest, government’s propaganda machinery labels them as “terrorist sympathisers” and “anti-national”. The first-time MP was speaking in Lok Sabha against the proposed amendments in the Unlawful Activities Prevention (Amendment) Bill which, Moitra said, seeks to designate individuals as terrorists without due process. The bill has been passed in the Lok Sabha.
