In A First, Women Officers To Lead Independence Day Parade In Naxal Hit Dantewada

In a first, the Independence Day parade in Naxal-hit Dantewada region of Chhattisgarh will be led by a female platoon of Bastariya Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and ‘Danteshwari Ladake'. The parade will be led by a 30-member all women Anti-Naxal Commando Unit which also includes surrendered women Naxals. The commander of ‘Danteshwari Ladake’, Dineshwari Nand said the inclusion of surrendered women Naxals in the Independence Day parade is very significant and it will inspire women Naxals to be a part of mainstream.
