Mass marriages are becoming very popular these days. In the state of Uttar Pradesh, around 59 couples from Hindu and Muslim communities took the oath of marriage in the presence of their relatives and friends. The special thing about the ceremony was that people of different religions were married here. These marriages took place according to the custom of their religion. An initiative started by the state government is gaining appreciation among various communities in Uttar Pradesh.

सामूहिक विवाह (Mass marriages) इन दिनों बहुत लोकप्रिय हो रहे हैं। उत्तर प्रदेश ( Uttar Pradesh) राज्य में हिंदू और मुस्लिम समुदायों (Hindu and Muslim communities) के लगभग 59 जोड़ों ने अपने रिश्तेदारों और दोस्तों की मौजूदगी में शादी की शपथ ली। समारोह की खास बात ये थी कि यहां अलग अलग धर्मों के लोगों की शादी थी। ये शादियां उनके धर्म के रिती रिवाज से ही हुईं। ये आयोजन न केवल अलग-अलग समुदायों के बीच सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव को बढ़ावा देने में मदद करते हैं बल्कि समाज के गरीब वर्गों को अपने विवाह को भव्य तरीके से मनाने में भी मदद करते हैं।राज्य सरकार द्वारा शुरू की गई एक पहल उत्तर प्रदेश में विभिन्न समुदायों के बीच प्रशंसा बटोर रही है।
