Violent Protest Erupts During Strike In Itanagar

Police station and a fire station vandalised after violence broke out in Arunachal Pradesh’s Itanagar on Sunday. Violence broke out during a strike called by 18 students and civil society organisations. Strike was held against state’s decision to grant permanent resident certificates to non-Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribes of Namsai and Chanaglang.
