C/O ArtHouse: A Dance of Empowerment

What do you get when one’s passion for art collides with the purpose to transform lives? Perhaps a whole lot of compassion to change society despite one’s own struggle to find their feet. 25-year-old Ranjini Nair, a Kuchipudi dancer from Delhi, has set out to do just that. The life of a dancer isn’t marked by a blockbuster, neither does it reach its pinnacle after a few awards — the struggle to be professionally established is a long, winding road. As Nair embarks on her journey to build her own niche, she’s decided to bring along with her a few young, underprivileged girls. And what do you know? Her students have already managed to break quite a few barriers, travelling across the world while tapping their feet to the tunes of change.
