Kaala: Rajinikanth’s popularity test ahead of elections

Albert Theatre near Chennai’s Egmore Railway station, two days ahead of Rajinikanth movie’s release, is usually packed with hundreds of fans jostling for tickets. But this time around, right before the release of “Kaala” there was hardly any crowd. In fact other than the opening day, tickets were available for the days following the release. The ticket counter staff admit it has been a surprisingly dull opening for a Rajini movie. But fans aren't worried about this slow start. They are confident the movie will pick up.
