Prices of petrol and diesel surged on October 22 across metros, touching a record high in the country. The price of petrol was increased by 35 paise in Delhi and stood at Rs 106.89 per litre. The petrol price in Mumbai is Rs 112.78 per litre. The petrol in Kolkata is retailing at the rate of Rs 107.45 per litre, while in Chennai the revised price of petrol is Rs 103.92. Similarly, the price of diesel in Chennai stood at Rs 99.92.
