After that, in their second match, defeated PNG by 17 runs. 17 ऑक्टूबर से टी20 विश्व कप की शुरुवात हो गई है। जिसमे सुपर 12 में प्रवेश करने के लिए 8 टीमें आपस में टकरा रही है। इस क्वॉलिफिएक्शन राउंड में जिस टीम ने अभी तक सबसे ज़्यादा प्रभावित कर के दिखाया है वो है स्कॉटलैंड जिन्होंने अपने विश्व कप की शुरुवात बांग्लादेश जैसी टीम को 6 रनों से हारा कर की थी। उसके बाद अपने दूसरे मुकाबले में पी.एन.जी को को 17 रनों से हराया। इस साल स्कॉटलैंड की टीम किसी न किसी कारण से ख़बरों में बनी हुई है पहले क्रिस ग्रेव्स की कहानी से तो अब उनकी जर्सी की डिज़ाइनर के कारण ये टीम चर्चा में दोबारा आ गई है।
