ঢাকার বঙ্গবন্ধু সম্মেলন কেন্দ্রে তথ্য ও যোগাযোগ প্রযুক্তি বিভাগ আয়োজিত এই পুরস্কার বিতরণ অনুষ্ঠানে ভার্চুয়ালি যুক্ত হন অনুষ্ঠানের প্রধান অতিথি শেখ হাসিনা। অনুষ্ঠানে শিক্ষা, ক্রীড়া, বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি, শিল্পকলা-সাহিত্য-সংস্কৃতি এবং বিশেষ চাহিদা সম্পন্ন শিশু-এ ৫টি ক্যাটাগরিতে প্রতিটি ১ ভরি করে ১০টি ‘শেখ রাসেল স্বর্ণ পদক’, ১০টি ল্যাপটপ ও সার্টিফিকেট দেওয়া হয়।
এছাড়া শেখ রাসেল অনলাইন কুইজ প্রতিযোগিতায় বিজয়ীদের ১০টি ল্যাপটপ এবং লার্নিং এন্ড আর্নিং ডেভেলমেন্ট প্রকল্পের (এলইডিপি) আওতায় প্রশিক্ষণার্থীর মধ্যে হতে সর্বোচ্চ উপার্জনকারীদের মধ্যে ৪ হাজার ল্যাপটপ দেওয়া হয়।
