Navratri 2021: Devotees throng temples on 'Durga Ashtami'

Navratri is a Hindu festival where nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshipped. The festival celebrates Goddess Durga's triumph over 'Asura'. On the eighth day of Navratri on October 13, devotees thronged temples in the national capital on occasion of 'Durga Ashtami' to seek blessings of the almighty on the auspicious occasion. Jhandewalan temple was decked up with full decoration as people gathered to attend the first 'Aarti' of the nine-day-long festivities.
