With this spiritual realization comes an inner happiness that cannot be adequately described by words. The more one experiences this higher taste of spiritual happiness, then automatically one will be less disturbed by the desires and thoughts of the mind. And the fears, worries or anxieties that are connected with anything in this world will also be greatly reduced.
Once a person experiences this inner happiness, then one is not looking less and less for happiness in the external world. If we analyze what most of us do in this world, we can see that almost all activities are attempts to find happiness in the external world. However, because this world contains various sources of suffering and is ever changing, trying to find happiness through activities in the external world alone is not a viable platform. We cannot find lasting happiness and peace in this world because it is not our natural home.
So, the all important challenge for everyone is to understand the nature of the mind and what we want it to focus on.
