Lakhimpur Violence effect seen in Mumbai and other cities

On Monday, Maharashtra witnessed a statewide Bandh over the Lakhimpur violence incident. The three-party Maharashtra Vikas Agadi (MVA) alliance including NCP, Congress, and Shiv Sena came in support of farmers and has given a call for a statewide bandh to protest the killing of four farmers in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri. Its effect was seen in many cities including Mumbai, Pune, Thane, and others. Notably, eight people were killed in the violence at Tikunia, nearly 70km from Lakhimpur Kheri district headquarters. Among these, four farmers claim died after an SUV, allegedly part of the convoy of Union minister's son ran over them on October 3. Watch this video.
