DOH, FDA: Boosters not yet needed based on breakthrough infection data

The Health department says the downward trend in COVID-19 cases is no longer artificial, citing the decrease in positivity and hospitalization rates.

But it notes that the Cordilleras, Ilocos, and Cagayan Valley remain at high-risk and that cases in Bicol, MIMAROPA, and the Zamboanga Peninsula are increasing.

Meanwhile, the Food and Drug Administration says there's still no need for booster shots for now citing data on breakthrough infections.
