While addressing a virtual press conference in Mumbai, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das on October 8 said that Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has decided to maintain the repo rate unchanged at 4 per cent. He also said the reverse repo rate will continue to be 3.35 per cent. “Reserve Bank of India keeps repo rate unchanged at 4 per cent, maintains accommodative stance. Monetary Policy stance remains accommodative as long as necessary to revive and sustain growth and mitigate the impact of Covid-19 pandemic while ensuring inflation remains within the target,” said RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das.
