12th annual 'Tips for CHiPs' fundraiser

The 12th annual Tips for CHiPs fundraiser brought in more than $32,000 this year, as supporters came back to the Outback Steakhouse in droves to benefit the CHP's Widows and Orphans Trust Fund. The event was transformed into a drive-thru last year due to the pandemic. In all, this event has raised over $330,000 since it began in 2010.
