Two days after Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was put under preventive detention for defying orders to visit Lakhimpur Kheri, his brother Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said that the party is not affected by manhandling and will continue to talk about the issues faced by the farmers.


The Gandhi scion also hit out at the government for barring Opposition leaders from going to Lakhimpur Kheri, terming it an interference with the democratic process. "There is 'dictatorship' in India now. Since yesterday, we are being told we can't go to Uttar Pradesh," charged Rahul Gandhi.
