Farmers in Khunti,Jharkhand, once infamous for Opium farming, adopted Lemongrass cultivation for business. This time a target has been set to cultivate Lemongrass in 700 acres of land. A farmer said, “The cultivation of Lemongrass is very easy, it can be planted once and profit can be earned for 6-7 years.

लेमन ग्रास ( Lemongrass ) या नींबू घास एक औषधीय और सुगंधित पौधा है। कभी अफीम की खेती के लिए बदनाम Jharkhand के Khunti में किसानों (Farmers) ने व्यापार के लिए लेमनग्रास की खेती को अपनाया।इस बार 700 एकड़ जमीन में लेमनग्रास की खेती करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। एक किसान ने बताया कि, 'लेमनग्रास की खेती बहुत आसान है, इसे एक बार लगाया जा सकता है और 6-7 साल तक मुनाफा कमाया जा सकता है।
